The PicoScope 5462E+ MSO combines flexible analog acquisition with multi-channel digital analysis, providing a compact solution for engineers working with embedded and mixed-signal electronics. Four analog inputs are complemented by 16 digital MSO channels, allowing analog behaviour, logic activity, and serial communication to be captured and examined together on a common timebase.
Pico Technology's FlexRes® architecture allows the analog acquisition system to be switched between 16-bit and 8-bit operation. In 16-bit mode, the instrument provides 60 MHz bandwidth, sampling rates of up to 2.5 GSa/s, and 1 Gpt acquisition memory, making it suitable for measurements where high vertical resolution is required. Selecting 8-bit mode increases the analog bandwidth to 200 MHz and the maximum sampling rate to 5 GSa/s, while expanding the acquisition memory to 2 Gpts for longer high-speed captures.
The 16 digital inputs support frequencies up to 100 MHz and data rates of up to 200 Mbit/s. Used together with the analog channels, they provide a detailed view of the relationships between sensor signals, control circuitry, logic states, and digital communication. This makes the PicoScope 5462E+ MSO particularly useful for microcontroller development, embedded systems, serial interface debugging, and other applications that require both analog and digital measurements.
An integrated 20 MHz function generator/arbitrary waveform generator (AWG) provides a convenient source for generating test and stimulus signals. PicoScope software adds serial protocol decoding, spectrum analysis, math channels, automated measurements, mask limit testing, and a wide range of additional analysis tools without requiring separate software licenses.
