The PicoScope 3417E is a high-performance 4-channel USB PC oscilloscope with 350 MHz bandwidth, up to 5 GS/s sampling rate and selectable 8- or 10-bit hardware resolution. The combination of high bandwidth and sampling rate makes the instrument ideal for development, testing and troubleshooting of high-speed electronic circuits and signals.
With a memory depth of up to 2 GS, the PicoScope 3417E can capture long-duration waveforms while maintaining a high sampling rate. The deep memory allows users to zoom in on fine details within long captures without losing time resolution and is particularly useful when analyzing complex or intermittent events.
The PicoScope 3417E can operate with 8- or 10-bit hardware resolution. In 8-bit mode it provides sampling rates up to 5 GS/s and up to 2 GS memory, while 10-bit mode provides higher vertical resolution with sampling rates up to 2.5 GS/s and up to 1 GS memory. Enhanced Resolution in the PicoScope software can further increase the effective vertical resolution by up to 4 bits.
PicoScope 7 supports serial decoding of a wide range of protocols, including I²C, SPI, UART/RS232, CAN, CAN FD, CAN XL, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet and USB. Serial communication can be displayed and analyzed directly alongside the measured analog signals.
The PicoScope 3417E also features a built-in single-channel 20 MHz arbitrary waveform generator (AWG) for generating both standard and user-defined waveforms. Oscilloscope and waveform generator functionality are therefore combined in one compact instrument.
The instrument connects to a computer via SuperSpeed USB-C and is used with PicoScope 7 software for Windows, macOS and Linux. The software includes advanced triggering, serial decoding, automatic measurements, math channels and mask limit testing with no additional license fees.
